The Length of the Circle.

The original performance is by Peter Gilles:

In the middle of the room, my foot is attached to the floor. I use my body as a compass to draw a large circle on the floor, the contour is as large as my body permits. When the circle is complete I sit in the centre, and put a plastic bag over my head. Then I try to draw the circle again. The shortcoming of oxygen, and my getting in panic results in only 2/3 of the circle being drawn.

The student stood in the middle of the courtyard, his feet taped to the ground. He drew chalk circles as wide as his body permitted around him on the tiles. Then he repeated the same process, his head wrapped in a plastic bag.
