The Eternal Banality 2 As a viewer steps on the switch on the floor near the seated sculpture, the sculpture will bend forwardly in a gesture of 'wai' (both hands raise at chest level with palms facing each other). As the figure bends, the top of its head will open, disclosing mechanical devices installed inside and the hollow inner part. When the upper part of the body swings back to its normal position, the lid-like head top will shut. This series of actions goes on until the viewer lifts his foot off the switch.
