On the occasion of DDV's Interim China Report, 5000 paper placemats have been printed. It pictures DDV among the owner and waitresses of the local restaurant in YangZhen, China, mashed up with a picture of the Forbidden City in Beijing. |
As a matter of fact those girls have never been to Beijing or the Forbidden City, although it's a mere 60kms away. So they were PhotoShopped there.... The placemat is widespread used by restaurants in Antwerp's Chinatown, but you can still pick up a moderate stack for daily use at Factor44. Or try to catch DDV at any of the forthcoming art events on this globe (haha!) to bargain for some copies. |
