Heavy gushes of rain and a terrifying wind hits anything that's loose. Heaps of dirt fly around, trees get snapped and half of the city is without electricity for several hours. Even water supplies have been cut, since the electric pumps, needed to pump up the water into the hills of Vladivostok are not working.
Looks like I'm in need of a raincoat. Christine knows about a Chinese market on the outskirts of town, where you can buy anything at bargain prices. That's my kind of thing, so off we go on another adventurous busride.
Of course it's rather difficult to find the spot, since the area has been 'renovated' and there's been a lot of building towards a new busstation. We do get to an area that has several stalls, but apart from a number of fresh fish vendors and the ususual household stuff, no clothing. But then there's a cold sun shining over the wreckage and debris, so I guess my second-hand Malaysian service jacket will do for now.
