Dear DENNIS NILSEN,

Some time ago I have written you a letter, it was in February this year. Unfortunately I didn't have any address for you except 'WORMWOOD SCRUBS', and not being very accustomed to British penal institutions I assumed the name to be a town. Thus I probably sent the letter astray. Recently I discovered the name in a crime-book picturing an escape in London, so I took a map and found indeed Wormwood Scrubs in London, I hope this letter will get to its destination in a more comfortable way that is with a more specific address.

I wrote to you because I am a visual artist, which may seem a strange reason, but I also have an interest in true crime, since, in my opinion, there exist a lot of parallels between both artist and criminal. Let me though make clear that I consider both as human beings and wish not to discuss the matter of being 'good' and 'bad', I am merely intrigued by the mind, the fantasies and the works of both.

These thoughts are not so wild, as I have already encountered quite a few occasions where this subjact is discussed, one of these the book KILLING FOR COMPANY about you, where it is also said that both criminals and artists are 'schizoid' types. I was although more impressed by your drawings and poems. The drawings are of the most beautiful I have seen, and again make me feel that there is so much in common.

Since I will shortly have an exhibition, which will be dedicated to ED GEIN, so called America's Most Bizarre Murdere, I would like to correspond with you on this and other subjects. I am already corresponding with a few Belgian criminals and have found this correspondence very interesting, I hope you will find it valuable too and I may be of interest for you.

I include a report from a very recent travel we have made to Australia, where we have presented our works on various occasions, it might give you a short introduction to our work. Also included a Reply Coupon, so I truly hope you will write soon to
