I don't understand why if your going to write your ashame to use your own name for the most part of your letter would have ended up inthe garbage had it not been from overseas. I answer most people who write to me who sound interesting. You mention that your an artist too, well I don't consider myself an artist, the little talent I have is a gift from GOD and what I do with it is my gift too GOD.
You asked what made me take up oil painting, well on death row you have alot of time, I am use to being busy so I took up oil painting after seeing some shows on Television. The Public broadcasting system have "how to" shows and that was back in 1982, so I have been painting for five years now. Have done over 500 paintings. My talent if I have any is self taught, as I never did any art work on the outside let alone drawing.
Your interest in artist and criminals and how they relate is interesting but I don't agree with you about being driven by uncontrollable urges. Keep in mind what you know about me has been written by authors and news media people who have never met me. and in fact in 7 1/2 years on death row I have never granted an interview. So anything you read about me is fantasy with little fact thrown in. I am often quoted, yet I have never talked to anyone, so I find it very interesting the remarks that are put in my mouth or what is printed as facts about me.
Don't you just hate it when someone labels you without knowing you? Well thats been my case since the news media made me the infamous monster killer, and since they started with fantasy I have refused to give them interviews, let them live with what they made up. But there is a great deal of difference between John Wayne Gacy the man vs the Media Monster John Gacy.

And Yes I would be interested in seeing your magazine you publish and would like to know more about you if you care to write. But please give me a name to write to and tell me something about you, after all you know me from reading about me and even if its not factual it gives you an edge. You mention besides being an artists you do films, music and performances I pen-pal with several Rock groups who are into heavy metal music Hvae you heard of theCramps? Lux Interior the lead singer "The Cramps" are international known, have been writing to him for years, he also has several of my paintings.
