Sorry it took me a while to reply this time, we're very busy with the new issue of our magazine, which should be taken to the printers one of these days, then it takes them a week to print and we get them back, we sort them out ourselves, fold them, staple, cut 3 sides and then start bringing them to shops, mailing trying to get rid of as many as possible. It's a lot of work, but we're always proud when one is done, it's been a year now since issue 14, and this one is much thicker, 60 pages... We have a contribution by CHARLES MANSON and pictures of a scorpion he made for a friend of us, with bits of threads from his sweater and socks. Also extensive reports on Australia, our tour, some people who work there and a report on the Aboriginals, the original inhabitants of Australia who are kept down by Government officials and put in camps in their own land, somewhat like the indians in America. They have bi-centennial there now, and the Government complains about the Aboriginals not wanting to contribute, would you celebrate the 200th anniversary of the fact that you country was taken over by some people who told you how to live and act, who took your land and put you in ugly houses built on nuclear-waste-land? I guess not. Anyway, have you already gone through all of FORCE MENTAL 14?

I told you about this sculpture-contest, well I just got notice I won the 2nd prize! It's about 500 Dollars, and the sculptures will also feature in an exhibition in a cultural centre on Antwerp's main shopping-street. Hopefully this will bring some more interesting perspectives for my work. They are supposed to hand the prize officially sometime soon, when I have the money, I'll probably buy one of your paintings, so please send me a recent list with, if possible some explanation, what do the skulls look like you did? and do you still have portraits?

I hope you didn't think I gave up on writing you. I understand you don't reply to all letters, I do the same sometimes when we get letters like "Hey I saw your magazine at a friend's, please send me a copy and all other information". Onetime I used to do that, but never got a reply and lost a couple of magazines, now I return a leaflet with the price on it! I also wrote to some people who didn't reply, like TED BUNDY, but of course you never know, because it's hard to find a correct address, it's always a guess to pick the right prison, and then there might be no postcode or whatever and the letter might be lost. Someone I'd like to get through is RICHARD SPECK, I heard he makes paintings too, isn't he somewhere near you, as his case happened in Chicago too? By the way, do you know about a guy called PETER SOTOS? He's the publisher of a magazine called PURE, that had detailed articles on mass-murderers and child-pornography and torture etc, it was a bedly xeroxed magazine on a very small edition, but yet he was arrested, the first person to be on a new law in Illinois about child-pornography, one of his lawyers is supposed to be involved in your case too, and in that of SPECK, but I don't know exactly wether it was as a lawyer or judge or prosecutor or whatever.

So I read BURIED DREAMS, it is indeed a bit boy-scoutish, the guy can write stories very convincing, at least to people who easy believe stories. If he never talked to you it's pretty strong to base his book on so-called hour-long interviews, even mimicking your words, language and manners as if your best friend, yet who turned into a little evil thing. I guess that book hasn't done much good about your reputation. It's strange you can't write a book yourself, couldn't you donate the money to some charitable organisation so you wouldn't be making profit? I'm now reading this book on BUNDY called 'The Only Living Witness', where he so-called speculates on the crimes he is accused of. The writers say they're positive he's guilty, I wonder how much of that is actually true.
