to stay silent in a rather stubborn manner, you said you wanted to write a book yourself, but some little law prevented you from doing so, well there's been others who have written books aren't there, some of the MANSON FAMILY have written their own books, CARYL CHESSMAN did so, NATHAN LEOPOLD did so, JACK HENRY ABBOTT, maybe you should get in touch with some professional writer whom you like and have him re-write your story, or have somebody else edit it and put the money in some account or give it to some charity purpose or whatever. Even better, why don't you use your talent as an artist and tell your story in paintings? You know art tells what words cannot express, I have certain feelings I never would or could express in words, but I turn them in sculptures, and as you may say, I might have a very criminal mind, but in a way I can get away with crime, it's a conceptual form of crime, I am aware that if I'd have these feelings and never ever had the possibility of expressing them through art, there is a good chance I'd be there out with you. BUT it's the same with 'good' feelings, some people paint nice things, or sculpt friendly people in wood, if they wouldn't have been artists they might have become nurses or social workers. I personally know someone who was a sculptor and then, at the age of 30 or 35, went to study medicine, he's now a leading heart-surgeon.
You're right about not having your painting on the cover of a FORCE MENTAL, although I didn't ment it to be the way you made it. I'm not sure it would boost our sale, as again, not so many people here know you, and we wouldn't have like TIME-magazine your name in full-blast on the cover as well, it would only be the painting, and on the inside, a text either you or us could write about you and/or the cover-picture. But as a matter of fact I don't think we will put out another issue of FORCE MENTAL, we get less and less orders for wholesale, and, what's more important, we don't get much interesting contributions, it seems people are either getting tired, too lazy, or boring repetetive in what they do. We want original, bright, interesting contributions on topics we don't know, we don't want another version of some text we have already seen 50 times, or another collage with war and porno-pictures mixed up, people are just getting so narrow-minded.
I definitely will have my portrait done, but I still have to find a suitable picture to send. I'll start sending you money-orders anyway, less than $50, leading up to $100, or maybe more if I decide to buy another painting as well, if so I'll mention it on the money order, or in a separate letter. write again soon to
