I also think your wrong about your legend bullshit, but like everyone opinions are like asshole and everyone has one. Look my friend if I was interested in making a legend out of myself or had an ego problem don't you think I could grant some of the more then 200 interview offers made to me in the past eight years. The media made up this monster and I feel let them live with it,and let the public believe what they want, why should I seek publicity in trying to explain things with the facts or truth. And I have been offered as much as $50.000 for an interview, they wanted to have a six hour interview and run the story over a 12 week period and I turned them down. The lawsuits which I have filed against the books any money I will receive will be given away as I don't want to make money off something that is not me.
You mention ghastly details of my crime and that I don't want them known, hey the trial transcripts are a matter of public record, if a journalist was really seeking the truth and facts of my case he could see it under the freedom of information act. But they have this fantasy and thats what the public likes so they stay with it. We live in a society which love sensationalism in the aspects of sex and gore, thats what attracts people so you know they don't want to know about the man so the only one who get to meet the real person is the one who I write to. and that I deem personal between me and them.
You asked about the law regarding writing books, thats called the criminal victims act. in Illinois thats the law, your charles Manson and Caryl Chessman are out in California and at the time there was no law to cover that, Besdies you got your facts mixed up about Manson writing a book it was the prosecutor who wrote a book called"Helter Skelter". Not to my knowledge did Manson do one, I know he write songs as I write to someone who has met and writes to manson. But I will have some books coming out when the time is right as I have already written three of them. But while my appeal is pending they will stay where they are at. I don't need or want to bein the headline, and only my art work is known publicily. and lately the art critic have been giving me some fair reviews on it. right now I have art in exhibit in three states five cities and the sales have been good. so maybe my art work is telling the story of the different man from the monster. But I won't give even interviews about my art either. as I don't want it.
