JOHN GACY,

Many apologies for my incredibly long time to reply, I've been extremely busy with many things. I sent you 2 money-orders for a total of 100 US-Dollars, some time in august. Later that month we went on a trip to Rumania, which was quite an adventure since the country is very rough and the regime extremely severe, we travelled in very hard conditions, so we were kind of tired when we got back. On our return some rather unplesant news awaited me, I'm forced to take a job as a busdriver by the unemployment-agency, I'm now ending my training and next week or so I have to drive buses in and out of town. The hours are very bad, some days I'll have to start at 4 in the morning, some until 1 at night... and I'll only know 1 day ahead what times I have to work the next day, sounds like slavery, but naked truth. The first year I'll get only 90% of the wages of another bus-driver, and after that I'll maybe end up where it started, at the bottom of the unemployment-line. So everything is kind of rough lately. I'm sure you'll understand I didn't have much time left, and neither spirit left, for writing. Anyway, I got your list of paintings, and noticed your increase of prices, which kind of startled me, just at the right moment when I saved up money in order to be able to paid you for a painting you raise your prices, so that was kind of disappointing in a way, but also you always are saying how your talent is a gift from god and all that stuff, then I don't see why you're making a business out of it, unless you're a commercial artist, and those usually don't give a shit about god! Of course you do what you like but I found it rather strange, thinking the way you've been talking about your paintings earlier. Also the point of not wanting to talk about GACY the media-monster, then why do press-releases aalways carry the whole story about mass-murder etc. You could have a much more sincere and valuable career as an artist by using an alibi, then you'd have no troubles with people buying your paintings because you're a supposed mass-murderer, because I guess those are the ones who'd pay anything for your paintings, people who buy them for what they are, are going to end up not being able to pay them in the end, you know it's not easy for me at all to spend 100 Dollars on a painting I haven't seen yet!, that is unless I don't care what it looks like as long as it's made by a killer-monster, if that would be the only reason I'd just bought it right away when I first wrote you, but remember, I first wrote you because I was interested in the relation between art and crime in a pure theoretical sense, buying a painting is a merely sentimental or personal side-effect of that, so I hope you'll understand my feelings about that. Anyway, I had a picture laying around here which I was going to mail you a while ago already, but I must have mislaid it since I spent quite some time searching for it lately. If I don't find it within a week or so I'll try to find another one which I find suitable and mail it right away, in the meantime, all the best and write again soon to
