Your paintings arrived in the mail a little while ago. POGO THE CLOWN is really good. I wonder wether you now make these as a kind of automatism, or do you still have some creative force moving you to do this one, I can hardly imagine an artist doing over & over the same painting. So I don't really know what to think about that, I don't see the creative aspect of doing this. Unless of course you're only in it for the money, now you're getting popular, raising the prices, making little statements about the artists, sending newspaperclips about your shows. Or are you creating an alter-ego for JOHN GACY / KILLER CLOWN / MEDIA MONSTER? Hey, I'm just roving about, I'm no psychologist, just trying to find out what's going on.

It's terribly hot here too, this building we live in is good for a long time, it's all big spaces with few windows, so not much heat comes in, but once everything outside & inside is really heated up, then even inside it's terrible. The climat here is not so humid so you don't sweat too much, the heat is more like a dry, heavy smothering blanket laying on you like a weight.

I see you have a book out with selected correspondence? That's strange, because you're always the one hassling around when your letters are published, and threatening people to sign contracts not allowing them to discuss about you & stuff. You're sewing the guys who write books about you and now you're publishing one about all these other people, I wonder if you asked all their permissions, and also do I have the honour to be included? Does this publication fit in with your theory of paying off costs for correspondence, or is it related with my above idea of JOHN GACY / MEDIA FRIEND?
